Web design and development, built to be maintained

We design and build business websites the way we'd design a plant room: everything where you'd expect it, nothing decorative that costs you performance, and easy to service long after launch.

What we build

Business websites that do a job: explain what you sell, answer the questions buyers actually have, and make it easy to get in touch.

  • New business websites, designed and built from a proper brief.
  • Redesigns for sites that are slow, hard to edit or not bringing in enquiries.
  • Online stores: Shopify, WooCommerce or custom builds, including platform migrations.
  • Maintenance after launch, on a plan rather than whenever something breaks.

Design and development, one team

Design

  • UX architecture and wireframes, before any visual design.
  • Brand-led UI design systems, so every page looks like it belongs.
  • Accessibility considered from the start, not patched on at the end.

Development

  • Responsive builds, tuned for Core Web Vitals.
  • Clean code with no bloated page builder underneath.
  • A CMS set up so your team can edit their own content.
  • On-page SEO basics built in from the first page.

How a website project runs

  1. BriefWho buys, and what stops them. Everything else follows from that.
  2. DesignTwo directions, one chosen fast.
  3. BuildClean code, no bloated builder.
  4. HandoverTraining, documentation, and we stay reachable.

Redesigning an existing site

Most redesigns start with a site that works against the business: slow on phones, awkward to update, or good-looking but vague about what you actually do. We start with the brief (who buys, and what stops them) before anyone opens a design tool.

If the current site has search traffic worth keeping, it should be planned into the rebuild, not discovered afterwards.

Proof you can check

The site you're reading is built the way we build: hand-written HTML and CSS, self-hosted fonts, no page builder and a small script load. Open it on your phone and judge the speed for yourself.

A website is maintained equipment, not a one-off purchase. See website maintenance for how we look after sites once they're live.

Tell us what the website needs to do.

A few lines about the business, who buys from you and what the current site gets wrong is enough to start.
